PIF's Involvement in Clearlake Capital Demands Serious Answers Now
As a Chelsea fan I’m angry.
The reporting from Matt Hughes last year with regards to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), the same exact fund that owns Newcastle United, went under the radar at the time with regards to Clearlake Capital, the group with controlling interest in Chelsea FC. However, in light of recent developments with regards to PIF taking over 4 clubs in the Saudi Professional League, and the sudden splash for cash they are making in making the league into the next super league, serious questions have to be asked about Chelsea’s relationship with the Saudi fund via Clearlake Capital.
