As we await news on the fate of the Maryland Bobcats for 2025, I’ve decided to shift the focus of “The Rooster and the Villain” section to pre-professional and aspiring professional teams based in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia). This means that you’ll see coverage of USL-L2, NPSL, UPSL, and USL-W teams in the area.
To kick off this journey in 2025, I had Devin Pugh, Director of Community Outreach for the Annapolis Blues on the podcast. Devin gives us an update on the project in Naptown - which includes a switch from NPSL to USL-League Two for the Men’s team - and the addition of a Women’s team to USL-W.
