NISA Announces Temecula FC to play in 2025 Fall Tournament
NISA confirms Temecula FC's participation in fall league tournament.
This evening, the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) announced its second club to participate in the 2025 NISA Pro Cup Tournament this fall. Temecula FC, based in Temecula, CA, will be seeking a new challenge in the pro tournament this fall. The club was established in 2013 and had previously played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) for eight years. The club left the NPSL in 2022 to join the Southwest Premier League (SWPL) for one season. Since 2023, Temecula FC has been a member of NISA Nation. Temecula FC owner Brandon Jantz shared his perspective on his club taking the next step to become professional and what it means for his city and the Temecula Valley.
“We are honored and incredibly proud to represent the City of Temecula and the surrounding region in the 2025 NISA Pro Cup. This community has shown unwavering support for our club over the years—from our passionate Quail Army supporters to the dedicated coaching staff and families who make up our youth program. Temecula is a special place, and the commitment to excellence and unity here continues to inspire everything we do. As we take this next step toward bringing professional soccer to our home, we do so with the full belief that this valley deserves it. We’re excited for what lies ahead and grateful to share this journey with our community.”
In case you missed it, our colleague Calum Ewing of BT90 interviewed Brandon Jantz back in April for insight into the club's pro aspirations. The club has had a close rivalry with FC Golden State Force (now known as LA Force 2) and narrowly came close to winning the Southwest Region title during the 2023 spring and fall seasons in NISA Nation. Temecula FC's 2024 season in NISA Nation finished outside the top three during the spring season (note: Temecula FC played in the Coast Region during the fall 2024 season). Off the field, the club has actively been recruiting investors and exploring sponsorship opportunities and has held talks with city officials about building a permanent stadium and training ground while continuing to compete at a higher level as it moves to the pro ranks.
Temecula FC has also developed young talent in the Temecula Valley, including former Temecula FC forward Diego Valle, who scored 12 goals, recorded 11 assists, and won the 2023 NISA Nation MVP award. Temecula FC also recently advanced to the Raul Briones Cup final and will face fellow NISA Nation side Worldwide Problems FC on Saturday, June 7, at Biola University's Al Barbour Stadium. The Quails are currently fourth in the Coast Region for the 2025 spring season in NISA Nation. The NISA league, as mentioned in its press release, will reveal more participating clubs in the coming days and weeks.
