2025 NISA Nation Spring Season recap of Matchweek 8 in the Coast and Southwest Regions, and Matchweek 4 in the Tennessee Region.
Hello everyone! My apologies for being a bit behind on this NISA Nation Matchweek recap. I was very busy at work through the holiday weekend, so I got to this recap a bit later than planned. This recap will be all the matches played on May 17 and 18. I will post another recap of the weekend's matches later this week. We had six out of eight matches played in NISA Nation for that weekend. FK Han forfeited their match against Nashville Knights FC. The Capo FC and Lobos FC match was not played. Let's catch you up on what you missed.
NISA Nation - Coast & Southwest Regions Matchweek 8 Results
Worldwide Problems FC 3 Real Sociedad U-23 3 (Saturday May 17)
Worldwide Problems FC and Real Sociedad U-23 battled to a 3-3 draw at Long Beach City College. Coby Jacobs scored the opener for Worldwide Problems FC. Jason Moreno scored the equalizer, and Philip Hephzibah scored to give Real Sociedad U-23 a 2-1 lead. Just before halftime, Worldwide Problems FC got the tying goal from Luis Juarez to level the match 2-2. In the second half, Hephzibah would add another goal to put Real Sociedad U-23 ahead 3-2, but Worldwide Problems FC would strike again with another equalizer from Kentrell Dorsey to settle this match at 3-3. Real Sociedad U-23 earns a point in its debut in NISA Nation, while Worldwide Problems FC sits third in the Coast Region table with 7 points, just behind LA Force 2 and Capo FC.
SC Union Maricopa 2 Las Vegas United FC 1 (Saturday May 17)
SC Union Maricopa edged Las Vegas United FC 2-1 at the Arizona State University Soccer Field. SC Union Maricopa trailed 1-0 after Las Vegas United FC took the early lead with a goal from Zack Larson. Las Vegas United FC would take that 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, SC Union Maricopa's Jean Horace Katende and Isaiah Benjamin each scored to give their team a 2-1 victory at home. SC Union Maricopa is in fifth in the Southwest Region table with 6 points, while Las Vegas United FC is in third with 8 points.
FC Anahuac 2 Sin City FC 3 (Saturday May 17)
Sin City FC extends its undefeated streak to six matches with a 3-2 win against FC Anahuac at Desert Pines High School Stadium. Victor Moran scored the opener as FC Anahuac struck first. A minute later, Sin City stormed back as Ethan Kovach scored the equalizer to tie the match at one. Esequiel Coronel put Sin City FC up 2-1, and Kovach added his second goal of the match to give his side a 3-1 lead going into halftime. In the second half, Skyler Goo pulled one back for FC Anahuac, but in the end, Sin City FC held on for the win. Sin City FC extends its lead in the Southwest Region table, leading the way with 18 points, while FC Anahuac is in second with 10 points.
Soccer Academy Nevada 2 Be Pro FC 1 (Saturday May 17)
Soccer Academy Nevada defeated Be Pro FC 2-1 at Canyon Springs High School Stadium. The goal scorer for Be Pro FC was not listed on the match center on the NISA Nation website. Sergio Arreguin scored both goals in this match for Soccer Academy Nevada. Be Pro FC has only one win in its last five matches and is in sixth place in the Southwest Region table with 3 points, while Soccer Academy Nevada is in fourth place with 7 points.
LA Force 2 3 Temecula FC 1 (Sunday May 18)
LA Force 2 beat Temecula FC 3-1 at Long Beach City College. Josue Cartagena put the Force ahead 1-0 early in the first half. Bryan Ortega doubled LA's lead to a two-goal advantage just before halftime. Temecula FC would get one back with a goal from Joshua Pinones in the second half to make it 2-1. However, the Force added another goal late in the second half from Leonel Alvarenga to seal the win and secure the three points for LA. The Force has won back-to-back matches and is second in the Coast Region with 7 points, just two points behind first-place Capo FC. The Quails will have to wait for another shot at their first win and are fifth in the Coast Region table with 1 point.
NISA Nation - Tennessee Region Matchweek 4 Results
Music City SC 0 Dream FC 6 (Sunday May 18)
Dream FC dominated this match with a 6-0 win against Music City SC at the Metro Soccer Complex. Braxton Robinson scored four goals, while Fernando Mendieta and Bakary Bagayoko each added one as Dream FC cruised to another big win. Dream FC has won three in a row and is first in the Tennessee Region with 9 points, while Music City SC has been winless in its last three matches and is at the bottom of the table.
That's the latest recap of what you missed in NISA Nation. As I mentioned earlier, the Capo FC vs. Lobos FC match was not played, and the league has yet to determine if it will be rescheduled.
