NPSL side Tallahassee SC launches second team to play in GCPL2
A big step forward for soccer in North Florida
Tallahassee SC is adding a second team to its NPSL entry
Together with ASG-Warner Youth Soccer, TLHSC is launching the ASG-Battle Lions this summer.
The ASG-Battle Lions will compete in Gulf Coast League Two.
This second team will allow more local athletes from the Big Bend region to represent the area throughout the Gulf Coast Region. This gives more Tallahassee-area younger high school aged players and young professionals will get to compete and further develop their talent at high level.
The ASG-Battle Lions will kick off their season on May 25. They will be competing against Florida Roots, Pensacola FC and Alabama FC (Montgomery) over a seven week period. Home games will be played at Gene Cox Stadium and the Meadows Soccer Complex.
This is a big decent for soccer in Tallahassee and further develops a pathway for local boys and men to improve their skills.
Will Montgomery have a team in Premier and in League Two? My understanding so far was that they would just be in the top division
