Sporting Jax goes (sort of) local and acquires Julia Lester

Tampa Bay United and Florida Gator product is coming back to Florida

Julia Lester is headed back to the Sunshine State. The Tampa native who played youth soccer in the Tampa Bay United system spent four years at the University of Florida.

Lester has played the last four seasons in NWSL and is being loaned to Sporting Jax from the Seattle Reign.

A defender, Lester has 36 all-time NWSL appearances and will add some veteran leadership and steady organized play to Sporting Jax.
