Support Local Soccer this Summer
I promise that you will have fun.
For US Soccer fans that like either the US National Teams or a Premier League team (or whichever European team you follow), I’m begging you to go check out a local high-level soccer game this Summer.
It is hard to fathom how much growth there has been in the 4th tier of Soccer in this Country within the last 15 years. There are so many good teams in the United States that play at the amateur level. I guarantee that you, the reader, have a UPSL, NPSL, League for Clubs or USL-L2 (or USL-W!) squad within 30 minutes of you.
These squads are filled with the talent that was pumped out by our robust Youth Soccer systems of the last 20 years. These are the 18 to 25 year old guys that are still giving it their all to make it. They need your support and you’ll be impressed by the quality.
I’m personally looking forward to catching the Annapolis Blues in both USL-L2 with the Men's team and the USL-W with a Women’s team. If you’re in Maryland and fan of the game, there are zero reasons not to catch a game with the 8,000+ other fans. Best part of the Blues games are the tailgates, where you can post up for several hours with plenty of space for the kids to run (and most playing Soccer at that!).

Not 4th tier, but I will be watching my El Paso Locomotive take on New Mexico United this weekend. Derby days are the best (sometime the worst) days.
