No. 8 - Alexander Isak, Newcastle United FC
One of the most talked about strikers in world football gets us started.
Alexander Isak is coming off of a phenomenal season for the Magpies. His 29 goal contributions in the EPL helped Newcastle sneak into a Champions League spot.
Isak, 25, is considered hot property and may make a big-money move this summer. With Newcastle not likely accepting anything under âŹ150 million, it wonât be easy for clubs to get their hands on the Swedish international.
No. 7 - Martin Ădegaard, Arsenal FC
Up next is Arsenal captain Martin Ădegaard.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder just finished his fourth season in London. He racked up six goals and 12 assists leading his club to the Champions League Semi Finals.
His goals significantly dropped off from last season. Maybe this is due to the opposition defenses not having to worry about an Arsenal striker for most of the season allowing them to close down the captain.
No. 6 - Declan Rice, Arsenal FC
In No. 6 is the man who broke the hearts of all the Madridistaâs Declan Rice.
Although the Gunners have no trophies this season, Rice played a pivotal role and had many vital performances. His goal production went up this season scoring nine goals and assisting 10 times in all competitions.
It will be interesting to see how he is used next season. If Thomas Partey leaves on a free, will Rice drop into the more defensive role? Or will he stay as an eight?
No. 5 - Phil Foden, Manchester City FC
Starting the top five is last seasonâs Premier League Player of the Year Phil Foden.
The 25 year old had a rough season this year, but so did his club in general. He finished the campaign with just 16 goal contributions in 45 appearances.
There is no reason to sound the alarm yet. Foden needs to realize that not only is the 2025/26 campaign is a fresh start but he must deliver to silence the doubters.
No. 4 - Rodri, Manchester City FC
At the No. 4 spot is the 2024 Ballon dâOr winner Rodri.
The Spanish CDM missed most of the campaign due to him tearing his ACL in Sept. It was great to see him make a return against Bournemouth in the penultimate game of the season.
Manchester City are rumored to go after another CDM. Hopefully, Rodri can make a complete recovery and be back at the top of the footballing world.
No. 3 - Cole Palmer, Chelsea FC
Former Manchester City winger Cole Palmer is third on the list.
The 23 year old struggled at the turn of the new year earning just three goals and three assists in 18 Premier League games. He finished the season strong though with a man of the match performance against Real Betis in the Conference League Final.
With Chelsea in the Champions League next season, it will be interesting to see what Palmer can do on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
No. 2 - Bukayo Saka, Arsenal FC
Coming in second place is Arsenalâs star boy Bukayo Saka.
The 23-year-old London born winger an injury riddled season. He did manage to score 12 goals and assist 14 times in 37 matches though.
If Saka can stay healthy, he can become one of the best players in the world. Arsenal needs him if the club wants to succeed.
No. 1 - Erling Haaland, Manchester City FC
Finishing this list at the No. 1 spot is âMr. Stay Humbleâ Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian striker had a successful campaign in the stat department scoring 31 goals and assisting four times in 44 games. Yet he and his club failed to win any important silverware.
There is no doubt that City will have a much better campaign next season. The players have a chance to regroup and compete for silverware this summer in the Club World Cup.
