US Soccer updates/changes the Pro League Standards
Changes for Division 2 include principal owner share falling from 35% to 15% and net worth be over $40,000,000
The new PLS is below. Obviously this will be a focal point of many of our discussions going forward.
In addition to some player safety language that has been added across the board, changes for Division 2 include principal owner share falling from 35% to 15% and net worth be over $40,000,000. This significantly impacts how USL Championship clubs can be structured and who can buy into the league.

One thing they did not change is the inconsistent language regarding participation in the US Open Cup. Men's D1, Men's D3, and Women's D3 leagues are the only ones that mention the USOC, and the Men's D1 requirement doesn't specifically call it out by name:
Men's D1: US-based teams must participate in all representative *US Soccer* and CONCACAF competitions *for which they are eligible*
Women's D1: US-based teams must participate in all representative CONCACAF competitions for which they are eligible
Men's D2: US-based teams must participate in all representative CONCACAF competitions for which they are eligible
Women's D2: US-based teams must participate in all representative CONCACAF competitions for which they are eligible
Men's D3: US-based teams must participate in the *US Open Cup*
Women's D3: Teams must participate in *Women's US Open Cup*, if applicable
Apparently if they were to win the USOC which they are required to play in, D3 clubs would not be required to play in CONCACAF which they would qualify for, and there was a women's Open Cup the only teams required to actually play in it would be division 3 teams lol.
