But why exactly did Miami FC sign too many players --5 excessive players? Was it an over-reaction to last season's debacles? You would think the excessive number of players cost an several hundred thousand more (when you figure in plane tickets, extra food, etc. even if the extra 5 were on CBA-mandated minimum $30K salaries)?

Yes- overdid it partly based on last year. I just think the squad is too big right now, but that depth might be helping.

The addition of Hamid and his impact so far has caught me a bit off guard. He appears to have re-discovered himself after his chapter in Memphis.

Been watching his journey since his academy days with DC United. Just look at where he was playing last year.

He is anchoring not only that defense-I agree: He’s helping to anchor the squad.

After you and I had been wondering for the what Nico Cardona needed to do to earn some playing time this season, he’s managed to get on the field for Miami FC in the last few weeks.

His form was very good for the Puerto Rico-Dominican Republic friendlies last month. I honestly feel like Nico plays his best matches when he’s playing for Puerto Rico.

Very glad to see him have the chance to show what he can contribute to Miami FC this year after the disappointments with the club last season.
