Indy Eleven: June Update
Indy Men continue to struggle in May going winless in league play and getting knocked out of the US Open Cup. But are off to a good start to the USL Cup. The women stumble twice to end May
Here is the June Update on Indy Eleven and Indiana Soccer.
Indy Eleven Men’s May Results:
USL-C: May 3rd vs Detroit City FC: 2-2 Draw
US Open Cup: May 7th at Philadelphia Union: Eliminated after PKs
USL-C: May 10th at Sacramento Republic: 1-1 Draw
USL-C: May 16th at El Paso Locomotive: 3-1 Loss
Jager Cup: May 24th at One Knoxville SC: 1-0 Win
USL-C: May 28th vs Hartford Athletic: 4-4 Draw

US Open Cup: Round of 32 (eliminated)
USL Jager Cup: 2-0-0, 6 points
USL Championship Record (W-D-L): 1-5-3, 8 points
Here is a quick summary of the Indy Eleven of 2025: Draws
The Indy Eleven have drawn opponents 6 times in 2025 (5 in USL—Championship play and 1 in the US Open Cup), and if you want to count the US Open Cup match vs Miami, that’s 7. Indy has shown the ability to score (top 3 in the East) but have the leakiest defense in the conference (2nd worst in the USL-Championship).
That adds up to a team who just cannot see matches through and gives up way too many opportunities to the opposing team. As things stand, the Boys in Blue lie in 8th place in the Eastern Conference.
If Indy even wants to achieve one of their goals set out for 2025, they need to turn things around fast before the gap widens too much between them and a playoff spot.

Why do you think Indy11 is struggling so on the pitch? Are the distractions of the Mayor's (traitorous?) courtship of the MLS taking a toll on the players and coaches?
