A lot of positive events has happened and much more money has flowed into the USL ecosystem in the year and half since Union Omaha's transfer to the MLS (see below regarding Jiba, for those unaware). Further, this is an international transfer which tends to be much bigger amounts due to the complexities and logistics involved than domestic transfers. The transfers to the MLS likely also has "add on" causes, so Union Omaha benefits if Minnesota flips Jiba to a foreign club. That's why 50K there covers more than the 30K typical salary of a USL L1 players. So I'd actually guess it's at least $100,000 for this current international transfer to Albion!

Doubtful it was that much. Local media reports when Jiba transferred said $50k. So probably much closer to that.
