why would anyone join NISA??? Even if your a club in a lower league that can put butts in seats, you're going to go from losing some money to losing a lot of money.
The uncertainty year to year is of no benefit to players...
Isn't this a league being held up by two wealthy owners who have ostracized themselves with the rest of the US soccer ecosystem?
Thanks for doing the NISA podcasts. Not many news sources for the league out there so its valuable for the NISA fans. You have the "gift of gab" for doing podcasts.
Seems like there's not a good chance for the league to have a season this year but maybe they pull it off for at least a scaled down slightly shorter one starting in May/June.
WISL is actually not dead? Wow! Since NISA obviously has to worry about the current issues first they obviously won't be going hard on that soon...
We'll see what the landscape looks like after a couple years of USLS (second half of the season ongoing) and WPSL Pro (first real season 2026) as they build up, and whether WISL has a place to slot into in the future.
