This sounds similar to what I've heard from USL execs, owners, and other fans. I think it will reproduce the same problems we're seeing in other leagues. We already know the US is unique in the size of the country and how spread out the population is. I don't think we can do what other nations do. Every sports league experience travel problems. The Big 4 US leagues just have more revenue so it isn't as impactful. Better that we get regional quicker in the pyramid.

We've also seen the impact of parachute payments. PP only came to be because of the TV revenue disparity. Before the EPL broke off, there was no need for PP because there was a more equitable share. Implementing a better revenue distribution here before the TV revenue ramps up is vital to avoid what we see in other leagues.

Looking forward to more discussion/ideas on this.

Can you elaborate on PP, your views on the positive/negative aspects of it, as well as the English pyramid experience with PP? Do you mean the Premier League TV revenue is shared among the clubs, and is like 1000X that of the English 2nd division Championship league?

I think the difference between EPL and EFL TV revenue is 3.3 billion. Here's an excellent video talking about it: https://youtu.be/9RbiJLbW05w?si=GXTDqcaCi4lYdYo-
