I remember around this time there was a soccer conference in Baltimore that Fox Soccer Channel carried live. There was a joint interview with the heads of NASL and USL. The hatred between the two organizations came through on the tv screen.
It would be great if the NASL NISA and USL could jointly create a new system but I would guess that a few people OWNING a league fucks that up. Not to mention their apparent disdain for the Cosmos owner. Just wild that $500M was floated around the idea of a pro rel broadcast deal and now we are here today in limbo. USL getting attacked by MLS does change things a bit but I’m not hopeful. Until the federation forces a change nothing will change. The Courts?
