Jax is starting in 26?

USL always said 25.

Not the first time they overpromised.

Sporting JAX has NEVER said 25 to me...they've said 25 or 26 to me since they were in the conception stages in 2022.

What USL said tends to be fluff as most on here realize. They are often highly unrealistic with dates and announcements.

When does the competing Jax Armada start play? They don't have their own soccer specific stadium nor have any plans to build one?

Armada stadium has been approved from the city near downtown, but I dont think it has been built yet. They are suppose to start 2025, but I think they got pushed back a. year too.

Land has not even been properly cleared yet. So I am guessing it's done in early 26 at the earliest.

Do you mean Land for the Sporting Jax stadium, not the Armada, to clarify? Could that upcoming stadium host THREE teams: USL men's & women's , andJaguars (latter, temporarily) ?

That seems insane that TWO soccer specific stadiums are going to be built for a Metro area of only a few hundred thousand (USL Jax vs Armada). Furthermore, where is the money ($200 million or more) going to come from for either or both stadiums? Or will this be a situation of "City versus Suburb", competing for fans and attention and sponsorships? These stadiums also require a LOT of infrastructure, which is usually public funded (e.g. through the sale of public bonds). It seems like this will ultimately be who will pull the funding together first, which might then cripple the efforts of lagging effort....

Jax metro is well over 1.3 million and growing.

Still that's a lot of soccer for a lower/mid-sized market.

I dont know especially with the Jaguars getting a new stadium built. There was the discussion of them playing in Sporting Jax stadium so they dont have to play in Orlando until the stadium is built.

They are in NPSL currently. WPSL for their women's side. MLS NP move when the stadium is done.
