I wonder if you might do an article about USLC attendance? It seems to be down compared to other years as we approach June. I thought the pro/rel and D1 talk might lead to a huge bump this year but it has been the opposite. The MLS USOC games were also mostly empty. I am wondering if the USL is biting off more than it can chew? Like almost all of its revenue is from attendance. I have seen rumors that all this pro/rel D1 stuff is just NuRock hoping to sell to MLS and cash out. I am wondering if that is the case since there seems to be no real plan.

It’s definitely down in some key places and Johnathan Starling has been tracking it in a spreadsheet. I don’t think we’re ready necessarily to do one yet because it’s still early but yes, we are aware of this and an article will come at some point sooner or later.

We take offense about the USL vs. MLS USOC cups being "mostly empty". The scheduling of these games are never ideal, scheduled with short notice (like 2-4 days notice) and always midweek. Despite that, both Sac Republic and RIFC attracted almost 10K fans, Lou City attracted almost 5K, Pittsburgh attracted almost 4K, etc.

Oakland Roots is attracting 10K or more fans per game. TLDR: the overall USL-C attendance is robust.

For USL-L1, new clubs like Portland Hearts of Pine, Naples, and AV Alta are selling out games and routinely >5K fans.
