What an ambitious project! Wonder if the Rowdies eventually end up there as well (as much as I'd hate to see them leave St Pete)

it would make since or for the Suns owner to buy them eventually.

I know a good number of Rowdies fans who would not be opposed to new ownership

To clarify, will this be a public: private partnership? I know that Kartik mentions that the cost is unknown at this moment (last line of the article), but it certainly looks like > $200 million price tag for just the stadium alone, given the sun-shielding overhangs.....

Regarding the Rowdies, it should have been pointed out that the 15K seats make it Pro/Rel Division 1 eligible!

I don’t trust USL as far as I can throw it.

Ever since the Real Estate properties got added to a title, I trust them even less.

Don’t get me wrong—I don’t trust MLS or the other leagues either.

At least the USL is more transparent about having a guy to help separate the taxpayers from their money.

In the times that we are living if they can make a project like this work with the “partnership” gimmick then I guess that they will have earned it?

Not that the some of the politicians are listening to some of us very much. I’m glad that a USL pro team is not coming to Maryland if it means taxpayer dollars. I sure as hell don’t want a DC United MLSNP affiliate dipping into the coffers.

But hey, I still think that the state gave too much to the Orioles and they do bring a lot of money to the Baltimore area.

This is the way things are usually done now. I get it. i just don’t have to like it.

It’s a lovely rendering.
