Some of my fellow Puerto Rico supporters have been ready to dress in funeral black and go into mourning after Friday night’s defeat in Suriname. Even a few pundits that I highly respect have been doing the same.

I’ve very defiantly tried to counterbalance as much of that as possible because we are going into the final match day with a chance to escape the group.

Yes, we must defeat St. Vincent & the Grenadines. We’ll be playing at home. I’d much prefer to play that match at Loubriel (but I’ll refrain from airing our the unpleasantries in this setting).

We need Suriname defeat El Salvador in Cuscatlan. Something that they are very capable of doing.

While it’s good to not have to depend on help from others to escape a group, that’s just a reality of life in this sport.

Final match day and PR will still have a chance to advance. Suriname and El Salvador were the favorites to advance.

Nico Cardona, Beto Ydrach and our other players with USL contracts are going to have to continue to come up big for us on Tuesday.

I absolutely refuse to accept elimination until the squad is actually eliminated.

Thanks a lot for the coverage and interest, Sir!

It's not a problem, Jay. Times are trying to cover this Confederation is such a tough job. We can only go with our eyeballs when these games are either the Nations League, the Gold Cup, or World Cup Qualifying, and we can see what's happening.

We don't have the connections with the day-in-day-out reporters from these Central American Teams or the Caribbean Teams. Some of the names are familiar, but at the end of the day, we are trying to do our best to keep all of you informed from either across the Confederation or from your nation.

I appreciate your belief in me and what I try to do to bring respect to those countries that need to be discussed.
